Antico Forno di Po

The bread of Po has been famous since 1935 and is produced in an uncontaminated area of Alta Lunigiana by bakers who have always been faithful to the original recipe. When Eva Rosa Fiorini with the help of husband Leonardo and the experience of mother in law Anna took over the bakery in 2005, she merely gave a more modern and dynamic slant to the business but kept everything concerning the bread exactly as it was. The best flour, only natural yeast, famously light local water, hand worked dough and wood ovens burning local wood. You can find this fragrant bread in various Lunigiana shops but it can also be purchased direct from the bakery. How to find it? Just follow the wonderful aroma when you get to the village of Po!
